GENIE Industries

  • Made new verison of an existing application to run on Windows 7 for Triple B Corporation/ Charlies Produce. Their AS/400 generates the item list and the BNET program is used to create orders to be sent back to the home office in Seattle via email attachments.
  • MCL program upgrade from version 2 to version 3 for ANICA, the Alaska Native Industries Cooperative. This appliation besides being upgraded to the Intermec CK3 scanners added the ability to use MCL-Link to transfer the order and catalog files to use the Internet as well as Dial-up. 
  • Helped with some classis ASP code updates for Bealls. They expanded the ASP /IIS based scanner system to their outlet stores.
  • A .NET application that involves Motoralla MC9090 hanhdeld computers and a PC application for General Dynamics.  This appliation is used in Moses Lake WA.  This is a custom barcoding application that automates Bartender for use on the PVAB product.
  • Bartender conversion project from CodeSoft for TruLife.  Besides better support from Seagull Scientific, this project enabled TruLife to take control of their label formats and not have to rely on a Third party for label changes or additions.
  • Web based Asset Tracking applcation for Regence. The application automates Seagull Scientific's Bartender labeling software, has a SQL server backend and was developed in .NET 
Bartender Label Software 
  • A .NET application to automate Seagull Scientific's Bartender labeling software to print product and packaging labels for Adalis.
  • Application to automate Seagull Scientific's Bartender labeling software for Sea Dog. This application turned a 3 to 4 hour job into a 15 minute operation.
  • Touch screen based Pallet Labeling system for Pizza Blends.  This system uses Elo touch screen monitors with a .NET application that works with SQL server and automates Seagull Scientific's Bartender labeling software. There are 5 throughout the states each with their own SQL server that replicate their production  data to a central SQL server. The reason this project was needed is that one of their major customers required Pizza Blends to have GLN and GTIN barcodes on their product.



  • Mobile Barcode Labeling system for Group Health.  This systems uses Intermec CN2 mobile computers and Zebra QL-420 mobile printers and is used in their pharmacy warehouse.

  • Barcode enabled inventory system for Spacecraft Clothing in Seattle WA, the system also runs in Bali Indonesia during the spring and summer!  This application created with .NET automates Seagull  Scientific Bartender for barcode creation. It also uses Symbol Keyboard wedge scanners and Zebra bar code printers.

  • PDT based Bar Code enabled Inventory System for Cold Storage / USDA Inspection Site / Freight Forwarder TC Trading  in Blaine WA. This application  uses Symbol PPT-8800 scanners, SQL server 2003 and ASP.NET.  Inventory transactions are eMailed from the application to their customers.  Their main clients are the cruise ships that frequent Vancouver BC.
  • PDT based item tracking project for General Plastics, they manufacture industrial foam and plastic products for Boeing, NASA and many other people. This system uses Datalogic 4220 scanners. This application was developed in PHP and interfaces with a mySQL database running on LiNUX/ Apache servers. The scanners talk to the database using wireless 802.11b access points.
  • PDT based Supply Expense Recovery System for Tacoma Screw Products, they carry over 35,000 kinds of industrial supplies. This system uses Intermec CN2 scanners. The applications were developed in .NET  and include a PC database interface / reporting tool.

  • PDT based Route Delivery System for TOTEM  Food Products, they have 15 Routes covering Western Washington and are based out of Kent WA. This .NET application uses PSC 4420 scanners and Zebra RW-420 printers communicating via 802.11b running in Ad-Hoc mode. The backend database is an Access 2003 .mde application.

  • .NET Source code developed for PDT based network server to PDT wireless socket communication project to enable PLC automation for equipment manufacturer Genie  Industries in Redmond WA
